Our Summer Cooking Camp is sure to inspire your child's inner chef!

Available for kids aged 12-16, our summer camp program runs from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and features a daily themed breakfast, lunch and snack (see below for this week's menu)

We offer a hands-on experience to get kids comfortable in the kitchen and try new foods, all while encouraging their creativity. Our junior chefs will learn to make all of the recipes from scratch, learn to use a variety of utensils, learn kitchen safety and hygiene, how to properly measure dry and liquid ingredients, how to follow a recipe, table etiquette and much more. In between cooking and eating, the kids will enjoy food-themed activities and time to play outside at the local park.

We are 100% Nut and Peanut Free!

We offer programs throughout the school year including Saturday morning classes, PD Day, Winter Break and March Break Camps as well as private parties.

Week 7, August 8-12

English Monday:

  • Classic English breakfast: eggs, sausage, beans and cheese on toast with fresh fruit
  • Fish and chips with creamy slaw
  • Sticky toffee pudding with caramel sauce and whipped cream

Tuesday - Mexican Classics:

  • Breakfast burritos with fresh fruit
  • Cheese and chicken quesadillas with homemade tortillas
  • Chips, salsa and guacamole
  • Mexican street corn
  • Tres Leches cake

Wednesday – Handmade Italian

  • Frittatas and fresh fruit
  • Homemade pappardelle pasta with slow-cooked chicken ragu
  • Garden salad with croutons and balsamic vinaigrette
  • Assorted biscotti (Italian-style cookies)
  • Take Home: Pasta Dough to show your family how we roll!

Thursday – Summer Halloween!

  • Toads in a Hole (“eggs in a basket”) with Witches Hair Hash and Trick or Treat Bacon (Sweet n’ Spicy)
  • Mysteriously Spooky Puff Pastry Bites (Surprise! Assorted fillings to play with and “trick or treat” your fellow chefs) with homemade mayonnaise
  • Creepy Crawly Pasta Salad (loaded with veggies)
  • Dracula Lemonade (raspberry lemonade…but spookier)
  • Frankenstein Rice Krispy squares

Week 8, August 15-19

Monday - Intro to Greek:

  • Greek omelets (tomato, onion, olives and feta… or plain!) and Greek-style breakfast potatoes with fresh fruit
  • Chicken souvlaki
  • Greek salad
  • Tzatziki
  • Fresh made pita
  • Loukoumades (Greek-style donuts soaked in honey)

Tuesday - A Taste of Mexico:

  • Chilaquiles (tortillas, eggs, cheese, beans and salsa) with fresh fruit
  • Bursting Burritos! Chef’s choice of fillings (beef, chicken, beans, veggies and rice)
  • Chips, salsa and guacamole
  • Pina Colada ice cream (kid-friendly 😉)

Wednesday – Scenes from an Italian Restaurant  

  • Frittatas and fresh fruit
  • Three-Cheese ravioli with choice of fresh tomato sauce or creamy Alfredo
  • Grilled portobello, asparagus and arugula salad
  • Fresh berries with tiramisu mousse
  • Take Home: Tiramisu with homemade lady finger cookies

Thursday - Dim Sum, Family Style

  • Mango, banana and chocolate chip pancakes
  • Assorted dim sum – steamed and pan-fried dumplings (chicken, shrimp or vegetarian)
  • Shanghai-style noodles
  • Sesame-soy bok choy and carrots
  • Mango cakes with coconut whipped cream

Week 9, August 22-26

Monday - Canadiana:

  • Pancakes and maple-glazed bacon with fresh fruit
  • Ultimate grilled cheese sandwiches with fresh made bread
  • Creamy tomato soup
  • Veggie sticks and baked 4-cheese spinach dip
  • Maple scones

Tuesday Taco Party:

  • Breakfast nachos with fresh fruit
  • Flank steak and roasted fish tacos with homemade tortillas
  • Chips, salsa, guacamole and crunchy slaw
  • Mexican berries and cream

Wednesday – Exploring Pizza Dough

  • Frittatas and fresh fruit
  • Pizza, calzones and garlic bread twists- homemade dough and sauce with cheese and freshly sliced toppings/fillings
  • Caesar salad
  • Stracciatella gelato
  • Take Home: Focaccia Bread to share with the family

Thursday – Carnival

  • French toast sticks, maple whipped cream and cinnamon sprinkle with fresh fruit
  • Mini homemade corndogs
  • Warm, salted pretzels
  • Veggie sticks with homemade ranch dip
  • Strawberry-watermelon slushies
  • Loaded Blondies

Week 10, August 29-September 2

American Monday:

  • Classic American breakfast: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast with fresh fruit
  • Smash burgers with homemade buns
  • Corn on the cob
  • Caesar salad
  • Chewy chocolate chip cookies

Tuesday Fajita Party!

  • Huevos rancheros with fresh fruit
  • Beef, chicken, peppers, onions, corn and black bean salsa fajitas
  • Chips, salsa and guacamole
  • Baked churros with chocolate sauce

Wednesday – Nonna’s Gnocchi

  • Frittatas and fresh fruit
  • Handmade Gnocchi with choice of fresh tomato sauce or creamy Alfredo
  • Antipasti platter – herb, lemon and garlic marinated vegetables, roasted to perfection
  • Strawberry vanilla semifreddo (frozen mousse)
  • Take Home: Gnocchi dough to show your family how it’s done!

Thursday – Japanese Sushi Bar

  • Japanese street crepes with fruit fillings and whipped cream
  • Roll your own sushi with fresh made sushi rice, assorted fish and vegetable fillings
  • Miso soup
  • Green salad with Goma dressing
  • Chocolate dipped fruit dusted with matcha green tea
