5-Day Summer cooking CAMPs

The Chef Upstairs is hosting kids in the Kitchen during the Summer Holiday Break, with 5-day camps that run Monday to Friday.

  • Pre-Teens - Ages 7 to 12 (born in 2005 to 2010)
  • Teens - from age 12 to 17. (born in 2005 or before)
  • Location - 555 North Rivermede Rd; Unit B-5 (NorthEast Corner of Hwy 7 and Centre St.)
  • Drop-off and Pick-up - the classes start at 9 am but you may drop your child off anytime after 8:30 am. The pick-up time is at 4 pm, but pop by early if you want to sample some of their food!
  • Pricing - Book for the entire week ($595 plus HST) or by the day after May 1st ($130 plus HST)
  • Baking & Cooking - The kids cooking classes are sure to bring out your child’s inner chef. With the perfect balance of fun and learning, the "junior chefs in training" will engage in hands-on baking and cooking, while learning healthy eating habits, as well as kitchen and food safety.
  • Daily Breakfast - your child will start the day by learning how to make fun and healthy breakfast meals (pancakes, french toast, crepes, omelettes, burritos, etc.) . The Chef will then explain the program for the day and then it's non-stop cooking and baking fun.
  • Lunch - each day, the kids working as a team, prepare a ‘Family Style’ themed lunch (Mexican, Italian, Asian, Indian, etc.). Thursdays are Picnic in the Park day and Fridays we have Iron Chef Day, where the kids get to use all of the skills and tricks they have learned throughout the week.
  • Exercise - we will take the children out for exercise at least once a day at the local nature trail.
  • What to Bring - the kids will have plenty to eat throughout the day and the only thing they will need to bring is a reusable water bottle with their name written on it
  • Supervision - in addition to our top-notch chefs we will have two helpers on site in each camp

If you are lucky, your child will soon be making dinner for you every night!

Intro to baking and cooking
Mexican Day (Breakfast Burritos, Tacos and more)
Asian - stir frying, dumplings
Italian - pasta from scratch
Sushi - miso soup and hand rolls
Baking - bread from scratch, brownies, cookies, cupcakes, wtc.
Picnic lunch in the park (weather permitting)
Iron Chef Grand Finale

Camp Cancellation Policy

Cancellation requests must be made in writing at least 21 days before the start date of your child's camp session. All cancellations are subject to a $50 administration fee per camp session and per child cancelled. There are no refunds for cancellations requested or missed days after the start date of your child’s camp session.
