Campfire Desserts Beyond S'Mores

S'mores will always have a place around the campfire.

But why stop there?

Whether you're camping, sitting around the cottage fire pit, or enjoying an evening in your backyard, there are countless campfire desserts that are just as fun and sometimes even more delicious.

Campfire Apple Crisp

Wrap sliced apples, cinnamon, brown sugar, butter, and oat crumble in heavy-duty foil.

Cook over hot coals until bubbling.

Top with vanilla ice cream.

Chocolate Banana Boats

Slice a banana lengthwise without removing the peel.

Stuff with chocolate chips, marshmallows, peanut butter, caramel, or berries.

Wrap in foil and warm over the fire.

Campfire Cinnamon Rolls

Wrap store-bought cinnamon roll dough around roasting sticks.

Cook slowly over glowing coals.

Drizzle with icing while warm.

Campfire Berry Cobbler

Fresh Ontario berries.

Simple biscuit topping.

Cast iron skillet.

That's all you need.

It's one of the easiest easy dessert recipes you'll ever make.

Grilled Peaches

Brush fresh peaches with butter.

Grill until lightly caramelized.

Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

Simple.

Elegant.

Delicious.

Sometimes the best summer traditions are also the simplest.
