Covid-19 Statement

As of Tuesday March 24 at 11:59 p.m., all non-essential businesses will be closed for 2 weeks, and longer if necessary. You can see the announcement on that here.

Canada’s leading Public Health officers have asked all Canadians to practice social distancing. We must all work together to “flatten the curve” and protect our most vulnerable friends, family and neighbours from being infected. We at The Chef Upstairs believe that these are prudent measures and have postponed all scheduled classes and events until further notice.

All those with events or cooking classes scheduled during this closure will have their deposits used as credits towards future events and our standard cancellation/rescheduling policy applies. 

Updated October 9, 2020: With the announcement of new restrictions, we are postponing all events at our Midtown Toronto studio until after November 7th, 2020 in order to adhere to government guidelines.

The guidelines that apply to our in-studio classes include:

  • Prohibiting indoor food and drink service in restaurants, bars and other food and drink establishments, including nightclubs and food court areas in malls;
  • Closing of interactive exhibits or exhibits with a high risk of personal contact in museums, galleries, zoos, science centres, landmarks, etc.

The above stated policy will apply and all those with cooking classes or events affected by the closure will be offered a credit for future use.
