Virtual - Junior Chef Cooking Classes - 10-week Session from Monday April 19 - Monday June 28

  • Stay socially connected and enjoy an interactive group cooking experience from the comfort of your own home with friends, family, and new friends
  • Our program will take your junior chef on a virtual tour around the world, where they will create delicious meals for your family each week
  • Your junior chef will have the opportunity to interact with our chef, ask questions and have the chef see into their kitchen to guide and encourage
  • Watch their skills and confidence improve as they are guided through proper knife techniques, organization, time management, safety and creativity in the kitchen
  • Class will start at 4:30 p.m. and will last 2-2.5 hours (log in at 4 p.m.)
  • Sign up for the 10-week program and the 10th class is free! (Individual classes are $29.50 each)

What's Cooking?

Week 1 - Monday April 19 -Caesar and Orecchiette

  • Caesar salad with fresh made dressing
  • Fresh-made orecchiette with sausage/chicken and broccoli in a light chicken broth

Week 2 - Monday April 26 - Flavours of Morocco

  • Carrot & chickpea salad
  • Roasted root vegetable Stew (tagine) with couscous

Week 3 - Monday May 3 -Chinese Roundtable

  • Assorted dumplings and sauce
  • Stir-fry vegetables
  • Steamed rice

Week 4 - Monday May 10 -Spanish Tapas

  • Tapas salad with grilled bell Peppers, olives & capers
  • Mojo picon chicken skewers
  • Spanish rice with tomatoes, garlic & chorizo sausage

Week 5 - Monday May 17 - Thai Cuisine

  • Mango salad
  • Coconut green curry with shrimp, chicken & vegetables
  • Lemongrass-infused jasmine rice


Week 6 - Monday May 31 -Shawarma Dinner

  • Israeli salad with tahini dressing,
  • Hummus and babaghanoush with pita and veggie sticks
  • Chicken shawarma

Week 7 - Monday June 7 -Fajita Party

  • Beef, chicken, peppers and onions
  • Mexican chopped salad
  • Baked churros with chocolate sauce

Week 8 -Monday June 14 - Pub Classics

  • Pulled chicken sliders with fresh made buns
  • Healthy slaw
  • Sweet potato wedges

Week 9 - Monday June 21 -Grilling

  • Chicken skewers with red peppers and mushrooms
  • Bruschetta pasta salad

Week 10 - Monday June 28 -Summer in Italy

  • Summer bruschetta trio (tomato, white bean and sweet pea)
  • Asparagus, sweet pea and parsley risotto with pancetta (pancetta is optional) 

 What to Expect:

  • Connect with fellow foodies
  • Learn new tips and tricks 
  • Hone your knife skills
  • Class will start at 4:30 p.m. and will last 2-2.5 hours (log in at 4 p.m.)
  • The class consists of a full meal, prepared by you in your own home under the guidance of our chef, via Zoom
  • Parental supervision is recommended

How to Connect:

  1. Register for the class
  2. Ensure you have the Zoom app downloaded on a computer or mobile device (we suggest using a laptop for the best experience)
  3. Shortly after registration, we will send you an ingredient and kitchen tools list, as well as set up that will be needed for the class
  4. Half an hour before the class, you will have access to the Zoom class.  Take that time to sign-in, connect with your fellow foodies and make sure you are ready to go
